Every year on August 10th in Manarola there is the San Lorenzo's feast, the patron of the village, which coincides with the night of the falling stars.

Showcasing local produce and crafts, fireworks and liturgical celebrations.

From 8 to 24 there is a street market in Piazza Cappellini with an exhibition of the best local craftsmen and producers of the famous DOC wine of the Cinque Terre, including the legendary "Sciacchetrà" (sweet dessert wine), a bazaar under the stars. At 21:15 religious procession starts from the Church of San Lorenzo to the marina of "Palaedo" where the statue of the saint is embarked on a typical "goiter" Ligurian to travel the stretch of sea to the main marina of the village, where it fell to the ground to return to the Church.

The path of the saint in the sea is marked by thousands of candles floating conferring a mystical atmosphere to the evening that ends with  fireworks on the breakwater protecting the marina.
When the fireworks ends everybody with the nose up to try to see a falling star and make a wish!
